PS Partnerships & Consultancy Celebrates Five Years of Success and Growth
PS Partnerships & Consultancy Ltd is celebrating its fifth anniversary, marking half a decade of providing specialist regulatory, quality management, and plastics consultancy services to businesses. Founded in February 2020 by Suzanne Johnston and Paul Shipton, the company has grown into a trusted partner for clients in the medical device, pharmaceutical, construction, engineering, and plastics sectors.
Johnston and Shipton first crossed paths around 20 years ago while working at Smithers (formerly Rapra). With complementary expertise, they established PS Partnerships with a clear vision: to offer an independent, objective, and expert consultancy service tailored to the specific needs of regulated industries. Their consultative, partnership-driven approach has enabled them to pool their vast industry experience, extensive networks, and strong ethical values to deliver high-quality solutions for their clients.
Reflecting on the milestone, Suzanne Johnston commented: “We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved over the past five years. Starting a business in early 2020, just as the world entered lockdown, was a challenge, but our commitment to integrity, responsiveness, and delivering real value to our clients has helped us to grow and thrive.”
Expanding Expertise and International Ambitions
Since its inception, PS Partnerships has expanded both its services and its team. With over 25 years of combined experience, the company has developed a strong reputation in areas such as material selection, failure diagnosis, polymer processing, and plastic product development. Their expertise is particularly sought after for projects involving medical and pharmaceutical devices, sustainable materials, and regulatory compliance.
The company has continued to grow its capabilities, taking on associates such as Lisa Lupton, Rosie Kirkwood, and Dr Elena Onyshchenko to support its expanding client base. In line with its growth strategy, PS Partnerships is set to attend major international industry events this year, including K Show and Chinaplas, as part of its plan to expand into new markets.
Dr Paul Shipton added: “Our goal for the next five years is to continue building on our success by growing our network of associates and delivering even greater value to our clients. With the increasing demand for regulatory and sustainability expertise, we see significant opportunities for international growth.”
A Track Record of Industry Contribution
Over the past five years, PS Partnerships has played a key role in advancing industry standards and best practices. In 2021, Johnston and Shipton acted as technical authors for PAS 510:2021, the world’s first standard for plastic pellet handling and management, working in collaboration with BSI, the British Plastics Federation, and other stakeholders. Their contributions to the industry have also seen them serve as judges for the Plastics Industry Awards and as conference partners for Plastics Live, where they have delivered expert presentations on sustainable plastics.
Other key milestones in PS Partnerships’ journey include becoming an Associate Consultant for BSI and SGS, exhibiting at major industry events such as Interplas, and achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2024, further cementing their commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Looking to the Future
As PS Partnerships celebrates its five-year anniversary, the company remains focused on innovation, sustainability, and supporting businesses navigating the complexities of regulatory compliance and material selection. With plans to strengthen its presence in international markets and continue developing its expertise, the next chapter for PS Partnerships promises further growth and impact.
